平素アジア・ミーツ・アジアにご声援いただいております皆様へ

このたび当＜アジア・ミーツ・アジア＞では
４年ぶりの＜アジア・ツアー４＞を再開する運びとなりました。
今回はアジア7都市からの12名の参加者とともに2作品を共同創作し、
その東京公演（9月6-9日）後に、それぞれ遠く離れたインド3都市
ーDharamshala、Bangalore、Imphal―公演へと向かいます。
どの都市でもワークショップも行い現地参加者の出演も試みます。
それぞれの都市は大きく異なり日本とも関係深い。
強行軍さながらですが訪れるのが楽しみです。

本活動は国際交流基金からの国際人員移動費の助成を受けていますが、
現地での滞在費、会場・機材費、スタッフ費、宣伝費等の活動費は、
現地関係者からの大きな協力を仰ぎながらも、
その不足分は自己資金で支えなくてはなりません。
そこでこのたびはじめて"クラウドファンディング”
ーーインターネット経由で不特定多数の人々からの資金調達ーー
を試みることにいたしました。

この試みは、"アジア各地での舞台芸術交流活動の展開と構築”を目指すわたしたちなりの
将来を見据えての第一歩ともいえます。

すでに21年の歳月を重ねてアジア18ケ地域との交流を生み出してきましたが、
今後の発展を思う時、助成金だけを頼らずに、
世界企業も含めた多様な人々からの
資金調達を可能にしていく努力こそが今何よりも必要と痛感します。
ひいてはこの地の未来に意欲を燃やす若い舞台人たちとともに
新たな道程を見出すものになればと願います。

実際西欧に比べ、アジアは広く発展状況も異なり、
その歴史・文化は長く深く豊かでありながらも、
言語、民族、宗教の対立を越えていく今日的な文化芸術環境のインフラは
いまだ未整備であり人々の暮らしと同様に貧しい。

We, Asia meets Asia, launched "Crowd Funding in Kickstater"
for India tour 2018 in Sep.

The tour starts from Tokyo and goes round three interesting cities in India,
including Dharamshal, Bangalore and Imphal.
The tour members consists of twelve artists from seven cities over Asia.

The tour got subsidy from Japan Foundation.
But, even though we got lots of cooperation from India members,
we have to cover the deficit of necessary expenses by ourself,
like staying cost, domestic transportation, lighting and sound equipments,
cost for space and local staff, publicity, and making records.
So, we try to set up "Crowd funding" as fund raising for the first time.
We belive this attempt  will be our new step for the future.

Thanks to your participation and work together,
we have been continuing for 21years.
And now, thinking about future development,
without depending only on the subsidy,
I strongly feel the need for efforts to make it possible to raise funds
from various people, including global companies more than anything else.
We belive these efforts open up new road and possibility for young people
who have a lots of will and energy for the future over Asia.
