By the 27th of October 2003, 32 theater people from all over the Asia got together. Thank you so much for coming to Tokyo all the way from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Iran, and Iraq. They all arrived with big luggage. Welcome to Tokyo, every one!! Some are blind, some don't eat poke. We are all deferent. I hope you can find some comfortableness in this crowded small space , and let's share our time for one week together with theater people in Tokyo. This is the cross road where unfamiliar languages meet. Do 'I', each of us, get melt in here, or get furious, or are there any encounters?

Asia is now a powder magazine of the world. We all live in Asia. Why do we gather here? For what? The 4th Asia meets Asia festival began with many questions....
and can we, or not can we find any answers to all these questions in this brief occasion ? Will your luggage weigh heavier or lighter on the way back home with those expanding questions ? Will the answers you find put more oil into the fire, or extinguish
the fire?

First of all, we would like to thank "theater", which made the encounters
with many questins possible. The7 different groups are collaborating on a tight
schedule to realize this festival, Asia meets Asia 2003. Our collaboration has already begun in confusion, and we hope it will grow wider toward the world near future. See you again, every one!

And last but not least, we would like to thank all the staffs and
volunteers for
working hard in the scene of the fire.

Thank you!
